Saint-Barth - fémina adventure

Les dix représentantes de Saint-Barthélemy se serrent les coudes depuis le début de la Femina Adventure en Guadeloupe.

Femina Adventure: a nerve-wracking night-time start

The ten women from Saint-Barthélemy taking part in the Femina Adventure in Guadeloupe had a tough time of it on the opening day of the sporting and humanitarian raid.

They knew that the Femina Adventure would not be a walk in the park. Nevertheless, the ten representatives from Saint-Barthélemy who took part in the event never imagined that their first outing would be so demanding. Nevertheless, they all survived!
"Yesterday (Tuesday, November 25), we started straight away with a night race," explains Axelle Cappelli, who forms the Pipelettes du Rotary team with Nanou (they represent the Handi-Relais association). Yes, in the dark," she continues. Yes, we survived. Yes, we're proud and a little surprised ourselves!" Yesterday, Wednesday November 26, the contestants were warned that the day would "not be the biggest" of the Femina. "If it's not the biggest, we'd rather not know what's coming," laughs Axelle, who details the program: "A Swim & Run to wake us up when we'd rather have a coffee or green tea, coasteering, i.e. running along the coast.a version of 'improvised climbing', a run back to the hotel, a canoe-kayak to rest the legs but not the arms, and a 3 km trail. "Axelle explains that her partner had to face "a big challenge". In this case, emptiness. "She handled it like a boss," says Axelle, who, for her part, had to face her "worst nightmare": the climbs.
Beyond the suffering, Axelle Cappelli remembers the best: "The crazy solidarity between us all: five teams from Saint-Barth, ten over-motivated girls, plus all the other girls on the adventure. It's an incredible organization, which makes us feel safe, encourages us and makes us feel like queens of the jungle. Or almost. "She concludes: "It's hard, it's beautiful, it stings, it laughs, it screams a bit... and we love it. "
For "Les complices de cavale", Aurore Questel and Christelle Gautier, after a first night that was "hard and tiring", it was not without pride that they finished the show. After a "hard and tiring" first night, Aurore Questel and Christelle Gautier announced on Instagram that they had successfully completed the coordinated swim. "We did it! "
The adventure continues for the five teams from Saint-Barth: the Optimums (Julie and Julie Chevreul), the Mam's Sœurs (Laura Falco and Sarah Juaneda), the Guarapitas (Dayana Jimenez and Diana Duloste), the Complices de cavale and the Pipelettes du Rotary.
