Due to the simultaneous unavailability of two generators at Public’s power plant, Saint-Barthélemy is currently experiencing strain on its electricity production.
Despite the measures put in place to reduce consumption, rolling blackouts are necessary to maintain the stability of the power grid, EDF explains in a press release.
Below is the tentative schedule for the power outages, by sector and time slot.
From 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

“We are calling on all residents and businesses to moderate their electricity consumption, particularly by limiting the use of air conditioners and energy-intensive appliances.
These collective efforts can help reduce the need for load shedding,” explains EDF in a press release, adding: “This schedule is tentative and subject to change depending on power generation and electricity consumption.”
