Chess: International referee visits Saint Barth

Saint-Barth Chess will welcome international referee Laurent Freyd in February. Laurent Freyd was the chief referee at the FIDE centenary in Quebec in 2024, the Olympiads, the World Blitz Championships, individual and team rapid games, the European Championships, and numerous international tournaments.
Players wishing to take on this talented player will have two opportunities to do so. On Saturday, February 14, during simultaneous games at the Arawak in Gustavia, and the following day during a blitz tournament organized by the Saint-Barth club. The club is offering training sessions on Saturday, January 31, and February 7, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. behind the Wall House and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Arawak in Gustavia.
