Saint-Barth - fémina adventure

Cinq équipes de deux femmes de Saint-Barthélemy vont participer en Guadeloupe à la Femina Adventure, un raid sportif et humanitaire, du 25 au 30 novembre.

Ten adventurers take up the Femina challenge

No sooner had they got together than the laughter started. And yet, a few months ago, most of them knew little or nothing about each other. "By sight, by far, by near, friends for some, strangers for others", they sum up. Since they each decided to take part in the Guadeloupe leg of the Femina Adventure, a natural bond has developed between them. From November 25 to 30, ten women from Saint-Barthélemy will be taking part in the 100% women's sports and solidarity raid organized in Guadeloupe, Corsica (in May and June 2026) and Mauritius (January 2026). Ten women driven by the same energy. "That of surpassing themselves, helping each other and experiencing a human adventure before sporting performance," they assure us.

"Come on, let's go! "
For this eco-adventurous competition, they have all chosen a name for their duo. Aurore Questel and Christelle Gautier will be the "cavale accomplices". During the Femina, they will be wearing the colors of the association Les Amazones. An organization that supports women suffering from cancer or in remission. Taking part in such an event is a first for us," confides Christelle. We've known each other for over twenty years, and we're very close. We do sport together, we travel..." When Aurore discovered the Femina on the networks, the two moms hesitated, then said to each other: "Come on, let's go! "
For Julie Chevreul and Julie... Chevreul, it was a friend who convinced them. "She told us about Guadeloupe, about pairing up, about surpassing ourselves and that it was 100% feminine.that was enough," laughs Julie, who together with Julie (the other one) forms the Opti'mums team. On their shoulders is the emblem of Refuge de l'arche, an association in Mayenne (their home region) which has been working to protect animals in distress for over fifty years.
Another tandem is that formed by Laura Falco and Sarah Juaneda, the Mam's Sœurs, who will represent the Red Cross regional delegation in Saint-Barthélemy. I needed a goal to get back into sport," smiles Laura. The fact that it's next door, in Guadeloupe, that there's an eco-responsible aspect and that I can take up the challenge with my sister, all that made me want to do it. It's great to be able to share all that. "
From November 25 to 30 in Guadeloupe, Dayana Jimenez and Diana Duloste will be the Guarapitas. Diana already wanted to do the Femina last year," assures Dayana. We're both from Venezuela and we met here. We're sportswomen and we wanted to get back into it seriously. Diana encouraged me! "

"With ten of us, we come on strong! "
At Pipelettes du Rotary, Axelle Cappelli didn't leave her partner much choice. I told Nanou that I'd signed us up," laughs Axelle. But she wasn't hard to convince. Especially as the Femina conveys so many values that touch us as women and as Rotarians. "Like solidarity. In Guadeloupe, Axelle and Nanou will be representing the Handi-Relais association. Last August, the two opened an online fund-raising campaign to raise money for an approved car for transporting disabled people. To date, they have raised over 9,900 euros.
We signed up for a raid, but it inspired us to do other things," says Laura. Like taking part in the Gustavialoppet. If someone had told me that a year ago..." For Julie, the Femina Adventure can only be the beginning. "We're already wondering what we'll be doing in 2026! "A Hyrox, the New York marathon, the ideas are multiplying. But before that, they'll have to take up the challenge of the Femina in Guadeloupe, which has 58 teams entered. We'll already have one strength," says Nanou. The fact that there are ten of us! That will enable us to support each other. "For the five pairs from Saint-Barth, the shared adventure began long before they took off for Guadeloupe.
