While visiting Saint-Barthélemy, dancer Feriel Gharbi couldn’t settle for simply enjoying a relaxing vacation on a beach chair by the sea. The dance instructor and director of 16.9 Studio reached out to Ajoe president Cécile Coudreau to share her passion during four sessions. These were held at the Lorient dance studio on the evenings of Monday, April 13, and Tuesday, April 14. Word spread quickly, and many dancers from the island rushed to take part in the sessions, in high heels and “street jazz” attire. Energized by their one-night-only instructor, the participants left their daily lives behind on the studio benches to let the rhythms carry them away.
