Saint-Barth -

Coralie Thomas et Elise Howard, ont de nouveau brillé le week end dernier, au Moule (Guadeloupe), à l’occasion de la 3ème édition de l’« Hyrox Challenge FWI Caribbean Throwdown ».

CrossFit & Running: Las Phénix Win Awards at the Hyrox Challenge in Le Moule

After finishing second in the previous edition in 2025, Coralie Thomas took the top spot this time around in the individual event, while her friend Elise Howard claimed third place on the podium. And although they didn’t win the team competition, as they did last time, the two representatives from Saint-Barths still made their mark by taking home the silver medal. The duo left Le Moule with medals around their necks. Enough to make the islanders proud of their performance: “This competition in Le Moule is particularly close to my heart. I competed in the individual event, a format I wasn’t able to do last year. So it was a bit of a personal redemption, and I’m very proud to have crossed the finish line in 1 hour and 17 minutes,” explains Elise Howard.
In fact, the athletes from Saint Barthélemy, like the other competitors, had to run a distance of 8 kilometers, interspersed with strength, power, and speed exercises, in the form of circuit training sessions commonly found in sports clubs and fitness centers.
“As a duo last year, we took first place with a time of 1:06. This year, even though we finished second, we managed to improve our performance with a time of 1:01. It’s a very comprehensive format that demands endurance, strength, and mental resilience. Standing on a Hyrox podium is very rewarding,” sums up Elise Howard. And Coralie Thomas, the 2026 Hyrox Challenge champion from the town of Le Moule, concludes: “In the end, this third edition was full of emotions, from pushing our limits to team spirit and personal satisfaction. What makes us even prouder is how much we’ve improved since the last edition. We shaved 9 minutes off our individual time and 5 minutes off our duo time—that’s really motivating for what’s ahead! And above all, experiencing this with my partner, Elise, makes the achievement even more meaningful. Viva Las Phénix!”
