An open-water race between Corossol and Public is being organized this Sunday, June 8, by the Saint-Barth natation club. "The aim of this event is to promote the practice of sport in a natural environment, while highlighting our island's exceptional maritime heritage," explains Théo Estasse, in charge of the swimming club. Open to all, the event features two race formats: Ouana Swim (2000 meters) and Ti Ouana (600 meters).
Participants in both formats can swim with equipment (fins, fins, pull-buoy, monopalme, mask, snorkel, lycra). However, flippers, boards, armbands, electrically or thermally assisted equipment, floatation suits or neoprene suits are not permitted for either race.
For the longer distance, participants will be divided into 4 categories: men, women, men with equipment (no distinction) and women with equipment (no distinction).
Registration is open until Thursday June 5 (places are limited) on ticketweb.fr/ouana-swim. Prices: Ouana Swim 15 euros/pers - 10.00 euros/pers for Ti Ouana.
"Come and take up the challenge in an exceptional family atmosphere," adds the trainer.
