Running: Saint Barth Participates in the Saint Martin Half Marathon

A week after the 21K race in Saint-Barthélemy organized by the Collectivité, several athletes from Saint-Barthélemy traveled to Saint-Martin to take their places at the starting line of one of the four distances in the 4th edition of the BDO Half Marathon (21K, 10K, 5K, and the 7K walk).
In the longest race (21 km), the first athlete from Saint Barth, Mathieu Clavier, crossed the finish line after 1:37:11 and took third place in his category. The times for Stéphane Drapeau, Joshua Bruns, and Théo Estasse, other runners from the island, were 1:39:39, 1:50:19, and 2:18:34, respectively.
In the 10K race, Matthieu Chassaigne and Florian Mirapel delivered strong performances, crossing the finish line first, almost side by side. Meanwhile, Jean-Marie Gréaux took first place on the podium in his category.
Two other female athletes from the island were registered for the 5K. Vanessa Boodhoo finished in 30:49 and Hélène Girardeau in 30:51.
