Corossol brings August to a close with the Saint Louis festival

Barely over the Saint-Barthélemy patron saint's day, the island's inhabitants can continue to enjoy themselves and feast. Starting the following day, Monday August 25, the Corossol association is organizing its local fête, the Saint-Louis.
It all kicks off at 6 a.m. with the start of garfish fishing from the beach, where registrations will be taken beforehand. Then, at 8 a.m., a mass will be held at the foot of the Saint-Louis rock in honor of the elders. The ceremony will be followed by a procession and refreshments. Then the festivities begin, with music throughout the day.
The program includes competitions (belote, table soccer, palet vendéen), games and entertainment for young and old alike, before the association's dancers take to the stage in the evening. They'll leave the stage only to make way for the lottery draw. The Nib orchestra and DJ Vince will then set the mood for the public ball.
