Seven adults and three young Karibbean Beach Tennis members put in fine performances during a trip to Saint-Martin last weekend. This was for a competition (a bt500 and a bt100 youth) organized by the FCBT.
In the youth category, out of 8 teams entered, it was the representatives of Karibbean Beach Tennis (KBT), Pedro Gomes Freitas and Kyllian Dias Natario, who came out on top. Charlie Guif and his partner from Saint-Martin took 4th place behind five boys and one girl.
In women's doubles, Julie Hodge and Julie Labrit beat thirteen other pairs.
Fourteen men's teams were competing. Cédric Mangeant and Vincent Cantatore took 8th place. "Too bad about the 4 match balls guys", commented KBT president Julie Labrit. Meanwhile, Willan Dolmin and his partner from Saint-Martin take 2nd place. Éliam Giordano and Mathys Dolmin won the tournament.
Julie Labrit sums up: "These are excellent results, with KBT taking all three titles: youth, ladies and men. And some very fine places: 2nd, 4th, 8th. Well done to all! "
The next tournament takes place this weekend, in Saint-Barthélemy. This Saturday, November 29, at the Plaine des Jeux in Saint-Jean, KBT is organizing a youth tournament. Teams have already registered.
The next event will be a BT1000 in Guadeloupe on December 13 and 14. Then, at the end of January, back to Saint-Barth with a BT500 and a mixed BT250.
