The third edition of the island’s backgammon championship took place last Sunday in the La Capricieuse room at the harbor master’s office. After five 5-point rounds with the “videau” rule, Nicolas Brousses—who dominated the competition, conceding only one draw against Marie-Claude Dubin—won the 2026 championship. He thus claimed his first title ahead of newcomer Stéphane Julien, who finished in second place. Marie-Claude Dubin rounded out the podium.
