The challenge was enormous. Last weekend (August 29-31), Ariana Behtash tackled the dreaded CCC race (Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix), the "little sister" of the Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc, as the organizers describe it. A particularly demanding little sister, since it requires participants to cover a distance of 101 kilometers, including 6,000 meters of ascent. Ariana Behtash, a doctor at the Irénée de Bruyn hospital and member of the 4 Runners of Saint-Barth, rose to the challenge. Not only did she manage to finish the race, she also put in a remarkable performance.

Entered in the midst of 2,147 starters, she was one of 1,641 finishers. More precisely, Ariana Behtash came in 1,396th overall and 89th in her age category (35-39). With bib 5070 on her back, she completed the 100.7-kilometer event in 25 hours, 26 minutes and 21 seconds. Her rest time throughout the long race was just 1h48mn.

The race began in sunny Italy, with a magnificent panorama of the Alps," confided Ariana. But the situation became a little more complicated with the arrival of night and rain. With the wind, the temperature felt towards the summits plummeted into the negative, and the paths turned out to be very muddy. Fortunately, the sun returns with daybreak. It gave Ariana a boost of energy, enabling her to enjoy the finish surrounded by those closest to her, including her top assistant, her sister and her nephew. With her performance, Ariana Behtash has earned herself a new diploma: that of doctor of ultra-trails.
