Saint-Barth - Quete annuelle de la croix rouge

Red Cross annual collection

You'll easily recognize them by their red chasuble and piggy bank: the volunteers of the French Red Cross in Saint-Barthélemy will be out to meet the public on Saturday May 17 and Sunday May 18.

To support its actions throughout France, the French Red Cross organizes its annual collection every year. These are the French Red Cross National Days. This year, volunteers from the regional delegation in Saint-Barthélemy will be out to meet the public at various locations on the island on Saturday May 17 and Sunday May 18.

The funds raised during this event are vital to the success of all solidarity, first-aid and emergency actions on the island: educational support, day care for vulnerable people (hygiene aid, food, textiles, access to rights), activities for our senior citizens at the Ehpad, Christmas parcels for the elderly, first-aid training for the general public and emergency preparedness.

In order to ensure the sustainability of these initiatives aimed at the most vulnerable, to enable the population to receive first-aid training and to help citizens prepare for emergencies, the delegation's volunteers are counting on the generosity of the people of Saint-Barthélemy.
