Volunteers from the French Red Cross territorial delegation in Saint-Barthélemy provided training on Saturday September 27 for volunteers from the Sécurité Civile reserve. The session focused on "life-saving gestures" in first aid. The afternoon was as instructive as it was convivial, bringing together twelve people at the Saint-Jean fire station of the Service territorial d'incendie et de secours. "The aim of first aid is to preserve a victim's physical integrity until help arrives, and to make citizens the first link in the rescue chain", explains the Red Cross.
As a reminder, it is still possible to sign up as a volunteer with the Civil Security reserve. Contact us by e-mail(securite_civile@comstbarth.fr) or by telephone (0590 29 70 66).
