The Centre Hospitalier Irénée de Bruyn is organizing an information and awareness-raising session on endometriosis, a gynecological disease that affects around one in ten women of child-bearing age, on Saturday September 13 at 9 a.m. at the Capitainerie. The disease is characterized by the presence, outside the uterine cavity, of tissue similar to the lining of the uterus (known as the endometrium), which develops from puberty to the menopause. This conference will be led by Dr. Ludivine Chevallier, a surgeon specializing in endometriosis at the CHU de Martinique, Valérie Lorbat-Desplanches, co-founder and president of the Fondation pour la recherche sur l'endométriose, and Véronique Pereira, expert patient, who will share her experience. For a better understanding of this disease and to help raise awareness, come and take part in the conference, which will be followed by a time for discussion with the audience to answer your questions.
