Hospital Reconstruction: A Petition in the Absence of Public Consultation

In early December 2025, elected officials from the Action-Équilibre group submitted a request to the president of the Collectivité to hold a public consultation on the choice of location for the future hospital. This request first had to be put to a vote by the elected officials. It was not until more than three months later, at the March 12 meeting, that the item was added to the territorial council’s agenda. The motion was rejected by a majority vote. Nevertheless, the Action-Équilibre group is not giving up the fight. Indeed, in the absence of a public consultation, a petition will be launched among the public. To that end, a public meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 7, at 6:30 p.m. at the Gustavia Harbor Master’s Office.
