Ouanala’Hospital is an association that brings together staff from the Irénée de Bruyn Hospital and the Louis Vialenc nursing home. In its first year of existence, it was actively involved throughout the 2025 Pink October campaign, dedicated to prevention and raising awareness of the importance of breast cancer screening. Through repeated fundraising activities, the sale of pink ribbons and various accessories, and thanks to its many partners in Saint Barthélemy, the association managed to raise more than €9,282.50. Ouanala'Hospital divided the total donations in half and gave equal amounts to two organizations. As a result, the League Against Cancer and the Saint-Martin association Fleur de Phoenix each received €4,641.25. "All of our partners came together to make this Pink October a success," said the association. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you on behalf of the patients." The members of Ouanala'Hospital also extend their thanks to the hospital and nursing home staff who, "during a busy period, gave up their free time to help," as well as to the firefighters of the Territorial Fire and Rescue Service. "They gave of themselves and their voices," the association said in a statement.
