Pink October: The Campaign Continues

In Saint Barthélemy, the annual global awareness campaign dedicated to promoting breast cancer screening and raising funds for medical research continues throughout the month of October.

Pétanque Tournament
On Friday, October 16, Saint-Barth Pétanque is organizing a tournament on the courts at the Saint-Jean playground. The competition is open only to licensed players and association members, but all proceeds (a 25-euro entry fee per person) will be donated in full to the Pink October association. For participants, the dress code is obvious: something pink.

An informational session at the hospital
On October 19, World Breast Cancer Day, an event is scheduled at the Irénée de Bruyn Hospital. In the late afternoon, at an information booth, healthcare staff will welcome visitors (both women and men), and breast self-examination pads will be distributed.

On Sunday, October 11, female athletes enthusiastically participated in the fitness challenge organized by the Territorial Union of Firefighters at the Saint-Jean fire station.

The “Australian-Style” St. Barth Triathlon
Finally, on October 26, the Saint-Barth Triathlon will host its event titled “The Australian Way” as part of Pink October.
