The Fondation pour l'équipement médical d'urgence de Saint-Barthélemy has donated equipment worth 135,000 euros to the Irénée de Bruyn hospital. A ceremony was held at the hospital on June 23, attended by the director of the health facility, Eric Djamakorzian, the president of Femur, Ernest Brin, as well as the prefect's delegate for Saint-Barthélemy.guée du préfet à Saint-Barthélemy, Aliénor Barbé-Guillaume, health executive Marie Allard and the president of the hospital's supervisory board, Marie-Hélène Bernier. This is not just a symbolic act, it's the culmination of a commitment made in 2024 with the hospital's management," said Ernest Brin, not without emotion. A surge of solidarity and a fierce determination to provide concrete support to the healthcare professionals who work tirelessly to serve our fellow citizens. "Over and above the donation of equipment, it's a message of trust and solidarity that Femur wanted to convey.
Ernest Brin was also keen to point out that the members of Femur "would sincerely like the public and our local businesses to realize how important it is to support us financially. to date, all our donations, without exception, come from people outside the island, and unfortunately, these donations are seriously decreasing, whereas on this island, we have more than enough to meet our needs". Femur was founded in July 1983, and since then has regularly contributed to the purchase of medical equipment for both the hospital and the Maison de la Santé.
