Saint-Barth -

French Overseas Minister Manuel Valls in Saint-Barth this Saturday

The French Minister for Overseas France, Manuel Valls, is making an official visit to Saint-Barthélemy this Saturday, March 15. The short visit, lasting just a few hours, is part of a "tour" of the French West Indies by the tenant of the rue Oudinot. Indeed, Manuel Valls, who is also Minister of State, begins his visit to Saint-Martin this Friday. He will arrive in Saint-Barth on Saturday morning, where he will meet with elected representatives (two days before the vote of no-confidence in the Territorial Council, and therefore in a very heavy political atmosphere), as well as with the local authorities. He will also visit the Paprec waste management site (mainly to pick up ideas that could be transposed to Mayotte) and the fire station of the Territorial Fire and Rescue Service. The Minister will take off in the early afternoon for Guadeloupe, where he will remain until March 17, before staying in Martinique until the 19th.
