Storm Jerry - Heavy rain and strong winds forecast for tonight

Storm Jerry's trajectory has been repositioned further south following observations by a reconnaissance aircraft from the Miami Hurricane Center. The phenomenon is moving along a west-northwest track, at a speed of around 30 km/h. It is producing winds of 100 km/h and gusts of up to 125 km/h.

According to forecasts by the National Hurricane Center, Jerry will pass as a storm less than 100 kilometers northeast of the Northern Isles. The effects of its passage will be felt during the course of next night, with heavy rain accompanied by violent winds. This weather situation is set to continue into Friday afternoon.

At midday today, Thursday October 9, the Iles du Nord were still under yellow vigilance for heavy rain, thunderstorms, strong winds and flooding waves.
