Northern Isles under yellow alert for heavy rain and thunderstorms

With the approach of tropical wave n°36, "whose electrical activity is expected to be quite marked (numerous thunderstorms)", Météo France in its 8:26 pm bulletin, Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin have been placed under yellow vigilance for "heavy rain and thunderstorms". Tropical wave n°36 will approach Saint-Barthélémy and Saint-Martin tomorrow, Wednesday August 28, at around 7am. Météo France is forecasting "brief but sustained showers" which may "bring a lot of water in a short space of time, accompanied by light gusts of wind". They will persist until late afternoon. Conditions will become calmer again on Wednesday evening.
