Rain forecast until Monday morning

In its bulletin issued at 5.10pm on Saturday November 16, Météo France announced that the current spell of rain and thunderstorms is set to continue until Monday morning. While a temporary improvement is expected on Sunday morning, showers and thunderstorms are likely to reappear in the afternoon. Moderate to heavy showers with occasional thunderstorms are expected this evening and tonight," writes Météo France. Significant rainfall totals are to be feared, of the order of 40 to 60 mm in 3 hours, or even less."

In the late afternoon, 23 mm fell in less than 2 hours on Gustavia Saint-Jean. Since this morning, Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin have been under yellow alert for heavy rain and thunderstorms.
