Justice commissioner under investigation

A judicial commissioner working in Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy was indicted by an examining magistrate in Basse-Terre (Guadeloupe) on Thursday January 16, before being placed under judicial supervision. On Tuesday, on the orders of the public prosecutor, the court officer was taken into custody as part of a preliminary investigation by the Pointe-à-Pitre gendarmerie's research section. At the same time, a search was carried out at his study in Saint-Martin. He is suspected of several alleged offences: fraud, embezzlement, concealed work, forgery and use of forgeries in public writings, forgery and use of forgeries in private writings, theft, complicity in usurpation of title, diploma or capacity.
