Downloading Child Pornography: Former Principal of Saint-Joseph School Sentenced

Eighteen months in prison, suspended for two years, mandatory treatment, and a five-year ban on working with minors. This is the sentence handed down on Thursday, June 18, by the Saint-Martin Criminal Court against the former principal of Saint-Joseph School in Lorient. He was charged with possessing, downloading, and sharing child pornography between November 2021 and March 2022, while he was working on the island. In addition, the 64-year-old former public servant was placed on the registry of sex offenders and violent offenders (Fijaisv).

We’ll take a closer look at this case in our Thursday, June 25 edition.
