A man in his 60s dies while kitesurfing

A 67-year-old man died on Saturday, April 4, in Saint-Barthélemy while kitesurfing at sea. The victim was a resident of the island. Although he was rescued and brought back to Flamands Beach by a lifeguard, the man could not be revived. Firefighters from the Territorial Fire and Rescue Service, along with a team from SMUR (Mobile Emergency and Resuscitation Service), responded to the scene. The exact causes and circumstances of the death have not yet been determined.
