Saint-Barth -

A lecture on whales

The Regional Environmental Agency, in partnership with the association “Mon école, ma baleine,” is organizing a conference on humpback whales. The event will take place on Wednesday, March 18, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Gouverneur Educational Farm, near the overlook overlooking Saline. “If luck is on our side, this will be an opportunity to perhaps spot one,” hopes the ATE. The lecture will be led by Julie Mellinger of “Mon école, ma baleine,” who regularly visits the island to teach schoolchildren about the lives of cetaceans. The talk is free and open to everyone. However, it is recommended to register by email with the ATE. Don’t forget to bring binoculars, just in case whales appear offshore during the talk.
