On Saturday May 31, Island Nature Experiences is organizing a clean-up operation in the Bay of Saint-Jean. For members of the association and volunteers who come along to lend a hand, the aim will be both to rid the bay of the garbage that pollutes it and to remove as much sargassum seaweed as possible. Particularly around the Eden Reef, the eco-responsible device set up by Eden Rock. The meeting point is set for Saturday May 31 at 3.30pm on Saint-Jean beach, near Nikki Beach. Further information by telephone (0647029774).
On May 5, INE helped the Coral Restoration association set up a new coral nursery in the Grand-Cul-de-Sac lagoon (see photo). The aim of these "fragments" is to create new coral colonies in the lagoon. An essential presence to protect both the fish and the coastline.
