Since some people still don't understand how trash cans work, neighborhood clean-up operations continue to be necessary in Saint Barthélemy. For example, the Rotary Club and Lions Club organize a major annual clean-up of the island, collecting several tons of trash from the environment each time. This Saturday, January 31, the Island Nature Experience (INE) association is inviting the public to join its volunteers for a cleanup operation in the Lorient neighborhood. The meeting point is at 3:30 p.m. in front of the surf hut on the beach. A few extra volunteers will be welcome, as there is no doubt that the collection will once again be substantial.
