EDF: Power cuts underway; 1,130 customers without electricity

EDF reports that, from 11:00 a.m. until noon on Tuesday, October 20, a new round of load shedding will affect an additional 567 customers in Saint-Barthélemy in the following areas:

Super U
Airport
La Savane Shopping Center
Main Road in Saint-Jean
Les Sables Shopping Center
Vaval Center
Les Amandiers Center
Villa Créole
Les Jardins de Saint-Jean
Jean Barth Residences
Espace Neptune
Coupe-Gorges Road
Lorient Ti Fond
L'Oasis and L'Îlot Centers

A total of 1,130 customers are currently without power on the island.

“We are calling on all residents and businesses to reduce their electricity consumption to help limit the need for load shedding,” EDF management stated in a press release.
