Power Outages Currently Occurring on the Electric Grid

EDF is informing the public that power outages will be necessary on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 22, in many neighborhoods across the island. These outages are being implemented to “maintain the stability of the power grid” following a failure of a generator at the Saint-Barthélemy power plant.

Power will be cut from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the neighborhoods of Flamand, Terre-Neuve, Merlette, Anse des Cayes, and Anse des Lézards. From 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the outages will affect Vitet, Dévé, Route de Marigot-Vitet, and Cul-de-Sac. Finally, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., power will be cut off in Grand Fond, Toiny, Petit Cul-de-Sac, Tourterelle, and Grande Saline.
