The Commission territoriale de l'agriculture, de la pêche et de l'aquaculture (CTAPA) (Territorial Commission for Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture) was officially inaugurated on December 16.its first plenary meeting at the Hôtel de la Collectivité territoriale.
The creation of the CTAPA follows the validation of Saint-Barthélemy's Territorial Plan for Sustainable Agriculture (PTAD). The CTAPA is a consultative, monitoring and steering body for the PTAD, bringing together the State, the Collectivité territoriale and stakeholders involved in agriculture, fishing and aquaculture.
At the installation meeting, thematic working groups were set up to ensure operational and coordinated implementation of the PTAD on the island.
"As a territorial governance body, the CTAPA contributes to the structuring and sustainable development of the primary sector, in line with the challenges facing the territory of Saint-Barthélemy", explains the multi-professional economic chamber, which assures: "A key milestone for agriculture in Saint-Barthélemy and a high point for the Cem, which led the development of the PTAD and thus confirms its driving role for sustainable agriculture. "
