The execution of the surveillance and security contract for Grand Case airport was annulled on December 8 by the administrative court, reveals our Soualiga Post colleague. In an article published on December 15, the Saint-Martin title explains that last July, Edéis Aéroport Saint-Martin Grand Case launched a procedure to select a company to provide airport security services. Edéis chose to select the company with the highest score. "Securitam, which came second with 0.15 points less, claimed to be aggrieved and immediately brought the matter before the administrative court, seeking to suspend the signing of the contract and oblige Edéis to resume work on the project. The Soualiga Post reports that several points were raised and examined by the judge. The main one concerned "the indirect relationship between the company that won the contract and Edéis Concessions".
According to the court, Edéis Concessions and its two subsidiaries "all have a direct or indirect link" with the company that provides security in Mayotte and won the Grand Case contract. It noted the existence of a "close and cross-cutting economic relationship between the companies". The administrative court thus found that the company operating Grand Case airport "failed to meet its obligations of transparency, competitive tendering and impartiality, and disregarded the principle of freedom of access to public contracts". Edéis Aéroport Saint-Martin Grand Case will therefore have to restart the entire contract award procedure.
