Air Antilles awaits DGAC decision

Air Antilles aircraft have been grounded since Monday December 8. Ticket sales have also been suspended. This situation is the result of an audit carried out within the company, following which the DGAC (Direction générale de l'aviation civile) decided to suspend the company's air carrier certificate. Since December 18, Air Antilles has also been suspended from the BSP (Billing and Settlement Plan) France by IATA (International air transport association). In an article published on December 19, TourMag magazine quotes an excerpt from an IATA press release, which reads: "Air Antilles is no longer participating in the BSP France and we ask that you no longer issue tickets, electronic miscellaneous documents (EMDs) and refunds on behalf of the airline. "
Since December 8, the company's management has submitted all the documents requested by the DGAC. These include forecasts up to at least June 2026. Internally, employees note that "management believes in it". On their side, however, skepticism prevails. Despite salary payments.
For the record, the regulatory framework gives the company around one month to bring itself back into compliance. Any recovery of the AOC will be subject to validation of the action plan by the DGAC. Air Antilles' operating license expires on January 31, 2026. For the company, the problem remains the same: without the financial contribution of a new investor, there are no prospects for the future.
