Saint-Barthélemy has been hosting a distinguished guest since the start of the week. Benjamin Moïse, better known by his storytelling name, Benzo, visited schoolchildren in Colombier and Lorient yesterday and today. This Tuesday, March 31, at 6:30 p.m., he will host a cultural evening at the Gouverneur educational farm starting at 6:30 p.m.
The evening will feature stories, beliefs, wordplay, as well as Creole superstitions and proverbs. A renowned storyteller, writer, teacher, and musician (with the group Kasika), Benzo will also give a Creole language class at the Théâtre du Paradis on Wednesday, April1, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Participants are asked to bring a notepad and a pen. The local government will provide breakfast for the occasion.
