On Saturday, February 14, volunteers from the Ajoe soccer school are hosting a "Cinema Only Kids"* evening for children in grades K through 5 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Nina Weks' animated film Tafiti will be screened at the Lorient studio. The cost is €30 (ticket + meal). All proceeds will go to the Saint Barth Foot Challenge U13 on May 23 and 24. Registration will take place this Thursday and Friday at the Saint-Jean stadium from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Synopsis: When Tafiti, a young meerkat, meets Mèchefol, a friendly and exuberant bush pig, he knows they can never be friends. Life in the desert is full of dangers, and Tafiti has always respected the essential rule of survival among meerkats: never bond with strangers. But when his grandfather is bitten by a poisonous snake, Tafiti has no choice. He must set out in search of a legendary flower that cures all ills, but which grows beyond the vast, scorching expanses of the desert. It's a perilous quest that Tafiti decides to undertake alone. But that's without counting on Mèchefol, who is determined to accompany his new best friend on this adventure, whether he likes it or not...
