A scene that spans the globe

From Asia to the Americas, via the Caribbean and Europe, the journey seemed almost endless on Saturday, June 13, on the stage at the Plateau de l’Ajoe in Lorient. For nearly two hours, the performance by the dancers at the third edition of “Tous en scène” thrilled the audience. The floor was packed with spectators, as more than 350 people filled the stage area to admire, laugh, and applaud throughout the evening.
Cécile Coudreau, president of Ajoe and a dance teacher, had warned: “Some women are going to surprise those around them—and more than just a few people!” Well, there’s no doubt that goal was achieved. The Cocos-Mangos, along with the Ti Ouana Salsa troupe, Anaïs Cannamela’s dancers in heels, and Jérôme Liévin’s “hip-hop” students all succeeded in enchanting the audience. Receiving a bouquet of flowers on stage during the grand finale, Cécile Coudreau even seemed to struggle to grasp the full extent of the event’s success. Because it was a huge success!
Earlier in the day, all the children from the dance school performed on the Ajoe stage. With the innocence of their young age, they showed off everything they had learned over the course of the year. They performed before an audience that was as touched as it was enthusiastic—just as the evening audience would be a few hours later. With another year of experience under its belt, Ajoe’s “Tous en scène” has reaffirmed its appeal and success. We can’t wait for the fourth edition in 2027!
