On Saturday October 12, the "Night Day" event was held at Fort Gustav III in Gustavia. The event highlighted nocturnal biodiversity and the celestial vault, and reminded participants of the consequences of light pollution on the island's various species. To kick off the evening, stories were read to the little ones, but the older ones were just as attentive. This was followed by a tour of the Fort Gustav III garden using torches and ultra-violet lamps. Karl Questel, from the Agence territoriale de l'environnement, commented on the Anolis du Banc d'Anguilla, bois nivré, lichen, the Sphinx des frangipaniers caterpillar, day and night spiders, oilwood... In addition, from 7 to 9 p.m., the telescopes of Astro Photographie Saint-Barth gave the most curious visitors the chance to gaze into the starry sky. A night to dream, in short.
