An artistic and maritime project, carried by the piano and voice of Marieke Huysmans Berthou, Pianocéan aims to be "an ambassador of free international culture, experienced and shared across the seas." On Friday, March 7, and Saturday, March 8, at around 7 p.m., the sailor, pianist, and composer, who has been traveling the seas from port to port for ten years giving concerts, will perform in the port of Gustavia. For each concert, her piano is hoisted from the aft cabin onto the deck. While visiting Guadeloupe at the end of February, the artist attracted a large audience who came to admire her schooner, Lady Flow, in the port of Rivière-Sens, as well as her talent. "The port was transformed into a magnificent concert hall. Artists Dory Sélèsprika and Leedyah Barlagne, on board, performed slam poetry and sang accompanied on the piano by Marieke Huysmans-Berthou," wrote our colleagues at La 1ère the day after Marieke Huysmans-Berthou's performance.
