Saint-Barth - Bourse aux livres

Deposits open for the Book Fair

For readers on the island, there's one annual event not to be missed. It's the annual book exchange organized by the Saint-B'Art association. On Sunday May 4, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the Quai du Général de Gaulle, readers young and old will gather to pick up a fewthe stalls set up by the association's volunteers to display hundreds of books. However, as in previous years, the public is invited to drop off any books they wish at the association's partner, CCPF électroménager, in Public. Deposits can be made up until the day before the event, May 3.
The special feature of the Bourse aux Livres is that anyone can take away and deposit as many books as they like. Novels, essays, comics, art books, travel books, children's books - the choice could not be more varied.
At the same time, all the island's authors are warmly invited by the Saint-B'Art association to come forward and take part in the event. A stall will be set aside for them to present their works and exchange views with the public. There will also be a reading room for children.
The Bourse aux livres will also be an opportunity for Saint-B'Art to present the prizes for the postal art competition (10:45 a.m.) and the short story competition (11 a.m.), which the Journal de Saint-Barth has been publishing for several weeks.
