Enchantment, sharing and traditions. These are the key words of the 2025 edition of the Christmas Village imagined by the Territorial Tourism Committee. A not-to-be-missed event during the festive season, it will take over the forecourt of the Wall House Museum and the Hôtel de la Collectivité over the three weekends leading up to Christmas Eve. The festivities kick off on Friday, December 5, with the opening of the Village at 5pm.
Throughout the weekend, some thirty retailers, craftsmen and associations will be setting up stalls to welcome visitors to the Christmas market. Visitors will be able to find gifts, ideas and, if that's not enough, delicacies to sweeten their thoughts. There will also be restaurants and a bar for refreshments.
On Friday, from 5.30pm, as well as on Saturday and Sunday, there will be entertainment for children (decorations with the Papouille et Mamour association, letter to Santa Claus).
Concerts and shows
On Friday, the group Max et compagnie will take to the stage from 7pm. At 9:30 p.m., Guadeloupe's "Zo a jambon" group will take the stage and lead the audience in a "chanté nwel".
On Saturday, after a stilt show by Héloïse from Leucques circus, entitled "Valkyrja, lumière de l'Romantiques will provide the musical ambience from 8 p.m., before giving way to Jamsband at 10.30 p.m.
On Sunday, at 6 p.m., some 40 dancers from the Dance with Kim school will take to the stage for what promises to be a unique show.
Santa Claus parade
And what about Santa Claus? Well, he's scheduled to appear on Sunday, December 7, from 4.30pm, for his traditional parade through Gustavia. He won't be alone, however, as the Bitin Brass Band will set the rhythm for his progress from the Post Office to the forecourt of the Wall House. The band will also have the onerous but exciting task of setting the tempo for Kim's dancers, who will also be taking part in the parade.
Dates, times and accessibility
The Village will be open from December 5 to 7, 12 to 14 and 19 to 21.
From Friday to Saturday, it will be open to the public from 5 p.m. to midnight, and on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
For those not wishing to venture out into the streets of Gustavia in their own vehicle, the Comité du Tourisme will be running a shuttle service from
Saint-Jean.
