A few weeks ago, the Territorial Tourism Committee launched an appeal for a highly original project. It involves collecting traditional recipes and the stories behind them to compile them in a book. The CTTSB is therefore looking for participants who would be willing to share an authentic recipe, "made just as it would be cooked at home, with all the gestures, secrets, and history that go with it."
The Committee's search is aimed at island residents, both adults and children, as well as restaurateurs, artisans, and enthusiasts. Recipes can therefore come from professionals or amateurs alike, provided that they agree to reveal the famous secret of their recipe.
If selected, participants will be entitled to a portrait and a feature on their recipe in the CTTSB's future publication.
To submit your application, simply send an email (direction@saintbarth-tourisme.com) to the Committee. You will need to provide your first and last name, the name of the dish you are proposing, and a few lines about the history of the dish and its significance to you.
Ten recipe submissions will be selected for this project. From the most original to the most classic, the main thing is that it identifies with the island's heritage. And has a great story behind it.
