Saint-Barth - écriture nouvelle conte

The 21st short story contest is now open

As it does every year, the Saint-B'Art association invites lovers of words and beautiful stories to put pen to paper and take part in its short story competition. The competition, which celebrates its 21st edition in 2026, is open to all residents of the island aged 18 and over. The theme is as broad as it is inspiring: "An island, here or elsewhere. "
The rules are very simple. First, each writer may submit only one short story to the jury. Each text will be submitted under a pseudonym, and anonymity will be respected until the winners are announced and the prizes awarded at the Book Fair on Sunday, May 3. Authors may not be professional writers and are not allowed to use artificial intelligence (each text will be checked for AI). The text must be unpublished, not have won any other competitions, and be free of copyright.
The short story must be typed and may not exceed five A4 pages of 25 lines (in 12 or 11 point Times New Roman, Arial, Calibri, or Candara font with 1.5 line spacing).
A digital copy must be sent by email (address: leilanazzal@yahoo.fr) before midnight on April 10. Another copy, on paper, must be sent to the Saint-B'Art association (address: Nazzal Leïla, Saint-B'Art association, 2026 short story competition, BP 345 Cedex 97096 Saint-Barthélemy), accompanied by the duly completed and signed registration form and a copy of proof of address. All must be received by April 10.
The association specifies that simply entering the competition implies acceptance of the rules and the publication of the short story in the Journal de Saint-Barth, a proud partner of the competition.
Please note that the five members of the jury are not eligible to enter the competition! The winner will receive a $400 gift card for a bookstore or stationery store.
