Since the start of the school year, students and members of the Friends of Minischool Association have been working hard to raise the funds needed to finance an end-of-year trip to Sweden. An online fundraiser has been set up on the Tribee website (“Support our school trip to Sweden”), but so far it has only raised 1,250 euros. That’s not nearly enough to take 18 students to Stockholm and Piteå. As a result, fundraising efforts continue. This Saturday, the Friends of the Minischool are organizing a “Silence Party” at Zion Gym in Saint-Jean. A charity dance party that will start at 6 p.m. and end at midnight. To set the mood, no fewer than five DJs will be spinning: Jérôme Barthélemy (Pop, dance, ’70s classics), Guillaume Mas (House, tech house, techno), Chris Magic (House, disco), Elouan B (Latin music), and Alexis (Hard tech). And other guests are expected to join the party.
The cover charge? It’s very reasonable. Just ten euros to have fun and help send teenagers on a trip to discover Sweden.
