"La récompense" at Théâtre du Paradis

Martin is a historian specializing in the Middle Ages. He has just been awarded a major international prize to crown his career. He should be happy, but in reality he's worried. He has discovered that all the previous prize-winners died during the year in which they received the award. Martin is convinced that he's next in line. At the same time, Véronique - his brother Lucas's wife - decides to change her life. She's going to leave Lucas, but not before confessing to him that she had an affair with Martin a few years ago. As for Martin's partner Fabienne, she tells him she's leaving him too.
This is the summary of Gérald Sibleyras's play "La récompense", which will be staged eight times at the Théâtre du Paradis in February.
The play is directed by Nadège Emmanuelian, and the sets are by Véronique Vandenhende and Jérémy Martin. On stage, Guillaume Marinier, Jérémy Martin, Soizik Potier, Magali Marin and Blanche Dominique will play the characters in a play with a sometimes wry sense of humor which, both in its subject and in its construction, has a boulevard theater feel to it.
