The Public party will take place at the end of October

It was due to take place on August 15 and 16. However, the approach of a tropical storm forced the association de Public, organizers of the neighborhood festival, to postpone the event to a later date. Since then, the weeks have passed, leading to fears that the 2025 edition would be cancelled altogether. Not so. In fact, the Public festival will take place. It will take place on the Public beach on October 25 and 26. The program will be just as full as the one planned for August.
On the 25th, a beach volleyball tournament will take place on the beach from 9 a.m. (for registration) (10 euros per team of two and mixed). At 1 p.m., a belote competition (registration: 10 euros), again on the beach.
On October 26, the day begins with a bottom-fishing competition. Departure between 5 and 6 a.m., return before noon, registration with David (0690576404). Participation is free of charge, but each boat must be crewed by a maximum of two adults and one child under ten.
For landlubbers, a Vendée shuffleboard tournament for teams of two (10 euros per person) will begin at 9:30 a.m. with registration, again on the Public beach.
What's more, for amateurs or the curious (over eight years of age), a free diving initiation will be offered on October 25 and 26. Times: 12.45, 2.15 and 3.45pm on the 25th, 8am, 9.30am, 11am then 2pm and 3.30pm on the 26th.
The evening program has not yet been announced. But unlike what was planned for August, the party will be held on Public beach, not in front of the Wall House. A relocation that makes perfect sense. A block party held elsewhere than on its own grounds, however close, necessarily loses some of its interest and, above all, some of its soul.
