An eclectic lineup for Music Day in Gustavia

As far as we know, no cancellation has been issued. Therefore, the event organized for Music Day on Sunday, June 21, will go ahead as planned. This year, the Odyssey association is organizing the event. The stage set up on the Quai du Général de Gaulle, on the plaza in front of the harbor master’s office in Gustavia, will host several bands and artists from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Music and Solidarity with the Bitin Brass Band
To kick things off, the Bitin Brass Band will perform its rhythmically diverse set. While the band is performing, the audience can show their support by dropping a few coins into a collection box. This is a call for donations from the Bitin musicians, who wish to help the children of the Seaview All Stars Marching Band from Jamaica—a group they met during the Saint-Barth band’s recent tour at the Jardin des Caraïbes (JSB1667). “The Seaview All Stars is a nonprofit music group that offers children from one of Kingston’s most disadvantaged neighborhoods the opportunity to build a better future through music and education,” explains the Bitin Brass Band. Through this initiative, the musicians from Saint-Barth hope to raise 1,000 euros to purchase two parade bass drums, two sets of parade quad drums, and a majorette baton.
The Fête de la Musique will continue with the band One Love. They will be followed by DJ Ice T, Steve Drum, Patgero, Jérôme Barthélemy, Eyedol, and IAM.So’Lo.
A refreshment stand will, of course, be open to spectators.

DJs at the Arawak
Meanwhile, at the Arawak, another musical evening will be offered to the island’s audience. From 7 p.m. until 1 a.m., DJs Omawav, Rytme, MH, and Sempere will take turns behind the turntables.
