The Wall House Territorial Museum in Gustavia is presenting an exhibition of 58 original photographs by New York artist Andy Warhol until January 11. The works are on loan from collector Jim Hedges, a specialist in Warhol's work. Hedges attended the opening of the exhibition on Saturday, November 2. He explained that he had been in possession of almost 8,000 original photographs by the artist. A collection that has now been reduced to around a thousand prints. Fans of Warhol's work are snapping up every last one of his creations and other productions. The photographs on display were mainly taken with Polaroids. They allow us to plunge into the visual intimacy of the Pop Art master and discover his creative process. But also to travel back in time to New York and Paris in the heyday of disco and punk.
The exhibition is open to the public on Tuesdays from 2pm to 7pm, and from Wednesday to Saturday (inclusive) from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 7pm.
