Magritte Exhibition then Artists' Salon at Wall House

From May 10th to June 14th, the Wall House Territorial Museum will resume its exhibition of some sixty photographs by two Belgian surrealist artists, René Magritte and Marcel Mariën. "These photographs allow us to explore the relationship between artists and creation, art history, society, and also poetry," explains museum director Charles Moreau. On this occasion, the first-ever catalog published by the museum for an exhibition will be on sale (at a price of twenty euros). At the same time, preparations are underway for the fourth edition of the Saint-Barthélemy Artists' Fair. The event will take place from June 21st to July 26th. As every year, the goal is to bring together the island's artists over the age of 18 in the Wall House gallery. With no set theme, they can already present a work (a sculpture, a piece of graphic art or a photograph) before June 14, by coming to the museum or by email (charles.moreau@comstbarth.fr). The Salon has the particularity that it is the visitors who elect, by means of a secret ballot, the winner in the three categories. Consequently, the winners will be designated after counting the ballots at the end of the Salon.
