14th edition of the West Indies Regatta

This Friday, April 25, sees the start of the 14th edition of the West Indies Regatta. This cultural event aims to "promote the maritime and artisanal heritage of the Caribbean", as the Collectivité explains in a press release. Over the three days of the event, the forecourt of the Wall House and the Collectivité will host a craft market from 5 to 9 pm. This will be followed by entertainment from Ombeline, Maudit Triskel, Bolas de feu and Madame Irma, from 6 to 8 pm. This Friday, the West Indies Regatta is set to kick off in the morning with the arrival in port of the boat Navasana, a traditional Carriacou sloop built by master carpenter Alwyn Enoe.

- Friday, April 25th
- 5pm: opening of the craft market
- 6pm: opening speech
- 8pm: Joshu
- 9:30pm: Local Crew concert

- Saturday, April 26th
- 11am: Navasana demonstration sail around Pain de Sucre before anchoring at Public.
- 11:30 am to 4 pm: picnic at SBYC (open to all)
- 5pm: Navasan arrives at the Collectivité
- 6pm to 8pm: traditional dances, straw-braiding animation by Association Le Corossol
- 8pm: concert by Max et compagnie
- 9:30pm: Malaïka Maxwell concert
- 11pm: Mishka concert

- Sunday, April 27
- 11am: Navasana demonstration sail to ilet Chevreau, then anchorage at Colombier
- 5pm: market opening
- 7:30pm: Navasana prize-giving ceremony
- 8:15pm: screening of a report on traditional boat building in Carriacou and Petite Martinique
- 8:30pm: DJ set reggae by DJ Gringo and Captain Fada
- 10:30pm: closing ceremony
